Beth's Smart Sip – Matt Parish Contra Costa Rosé of Carignan & Mourvèdre 2022
Matt's Provençal-style Rosé is peachy keen
The Mourvèdre and Carignan grapes for Matt’s rosé were hand harvested from 130-year-old head-trained vines in Contra Costa County’s legacy family vineyards located in Oakley, California. Here vineyards and urbanization co-exist side-by-side – with the latter increasingly encroaching upon these cherished old vines that growers hope to prevent from becoming the next housing development or shopping center. When you purchase wines from these historic vineyards, you play a role in their survival.
Matt Parish Contra Costa Rosé of Carignan & Mourvèdre 2022
Matt’s Provençal-style Rosé is peachy keen
California meets Provence in Matt’s Rosé of Carignan and Mourvèdre. It’s pale in color and big on fresh flavors like ripe peach, wild raspberry, juicy strawberry, and tangy grapefruit – a mouthwatering fruit bowl in a glass, if you will – the quintessential patio, picnic, and poolside wine. Pair this pretty-in-pink sipper with ‘pink’ foods like charcuterie, crab, shrimp, lobster, and smoked salmon – or enjoy as an apéritif.
